James Mc Parlane left Perth to live in Sydney where he was a founder of the Clan Analogue music label and started a free ISP for electronic artists in a disused chocolate factory, the Evil Brotherhood of Mutants.
Several years later, for reasons that now escape him, he joined the advertising industry, but he got better.
Currently CTO of Massive Interactive.
James became very goth for a while, but while transitioning went through a phase in which he had the strangest dress sense known to humanity. Typical attire for university could be a black UCC or goth t-shirt, garish fluouro board shorts, thongs, and a tweed jacket with two rows of badges, one of second hand 'library assistant' badges, the other row of homemade anime character badges, plus a briefcase with a plastic alien exploding out the side.
For a while lived in a garage that was heated by a PDP-11 minicomputer. Made occasional money renting his laser light show to early raves.
Was part of the band Accelerated Men, notorious to older members of Perths goth community. He played the Amiga.
