Mike Kent was notable social organizer in UniSFA from his joining the club in 1987 until around 1991, and continues to be a social hub for many OldGuard. In the latter part of his time at Uni his social circle were often referred to as the Kentlings.

For many years he lived with his family in Cottesloe, a house that was a very regular social centre for many, and site of many Parties. Mike's friends would often let themselves in when no residents were home to wait and see who turned up. He convinced his friends to help chain his bed to the ceiling.

Later Mike lived at St Columba College with DaveCake from 1990-1991.

He was a keen player of Quazar, and was part of the UniSFAn consortium that bought Quazar Northbridge (later to become Zone 3 Perth - location of many WarOfTheRing tournaments), and worked as the manager for many years.

He was a player in Aldramac.

An eternal student, he currently has two BAs and a PhD.

Probably still holds the record for starting the most first year units at UWA in a 2 week period.

He is fond of a beer.

At one stage he earnt his living as a Freelance Leisure Consultant. Which involved showing US exchange students a good time when they arrived in Australia to do a semester at an Australian Uni.

His house frequently has a spa on the front verge from which you can wave at passing traffic, and vice versa.
