The Mouse Theory is as follows, developed by LukeSlaughter and sent to the UniSFA MailingList in 1997.
The fantastic little mouse theory, studying the effects on the brain.
Now I think that the scientific approach to how we think with neurons and electronic impulses is all well and good but it is missing the most important fact of all. This is what actually drives the brain to produce the frequency of thoughts and ideas.
Now our research at UWA and Murdoch universities have led us to believe that there is in fact a small white mouse running around on one of those spinning wheels. Depending on how fast or slow they run is what determines the amount of brainpower that one person has.
Now we believe that most people have an average mouse that can run for intermediate periods of time and then gets tired and has to stop allowing for lulls in brain power. This is why sleep is needed, to allow the mouse to rest. If you, for example, stay up all night studying for an exam the next day then there is the likelihood that your mouse may conk out, giving you mental blanks.
Now in some people the mouse actually runs faster, giving society smarter than average people as their mouse produces more brain power. Others have mice that cannot run as fast and therefore think slower than the rest of us.
Genetic anomalies however have been known to occur. We believe that Albert Einstein was a genetic freak who had not just the one mouse but two. This worked to produce twice the output that a normal person is capable of and therefore the label of genius. Other anomalies include the size of the wheel, some have larger wheels than others, accounting for a deeper train of thought. These people think slower than others but far beyond the surface issues that most of us see. Others have smaller wheels and therefore skim across the surface of most problems even though their wheel is spinning extremely fast. They do not have any time to register those thoughts and the condition of the mouse accounts for their hair colour and hence the label of blondes.
The stamina and strength of the mouse also come into play affecting the output of brainpower. Schiztophrenic behaviour comes directly from the mouses' own behavior. Differing personalies are induced by; 1) the mouse slowing down and then speeding up at irregular times, generating intenive bursts of power 2) the mouse actually running in different styles.
- Lateral thinking is created by the mouse running in a crab like fashion.
Creative thinking is done when the mouse runs on only two legs. Radical thinking is done by the mouse getting off of the wheel and using their tail to power the wheel and hence the brain. Chivalrous thoughts are created by a mouse running in armour which are slow and clanking and therefore produce much noise. This is why they are not oftrn heard and acted upon.
